Hang in there baby. Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur When Crash first came to us he was fascinated by windows and the birds outside. If there was nowhere to sit he would just hang out for a while. Have a good weekend.

By the dawn's early light

By the dawn's early light Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur Early morning at Niagra Falls on the Canadian side. This is an older building that is on the edge of the gorge. It gives a good view of the falls. I just liked the absence of people and the quality of te light. If you've ever been to a major tourist attraction you can appreciate the absence of people.

Irritated carolina wren Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur Anne took this photo throught the kitchen window. I think the birds are getting tired of winter just like us humans.

Summer

Image
Summer Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur There is a new 5 foot snow drift across the path. I almost had the 4 foot drift cleared away. I didn't have the heart to take a photo of the drift. Maybe it will just go away. UNCLE!!!

So you think you can dance? Eagle style

Image
So you think you can dance? Eagle style Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur not a great photo but they were a long way off. We heard there were 31 eagles at Peche Island Park in Windsor, Ontario. The island is at the mouth of the Detroit River were Lake St. Clair empties into it. We saw a total of 10 eagles and these two were doing a tumbling routine in the air. Wish they had been closer.

White ear tips are all the rage this spring. Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur It must be spring, the opossum are out and about as are the young racoons. This is a small animal and looks thin. He was on the sidewalk steps about 4 feet from the front door. When I went out he didn't move and I had to go around him. He wasn't going to stop eating the bird seed.

I don't think their fill is overly clean

I don't think their fill is overly clean Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur Backs to the blizzard, these ponies were chowing down on something. I don't think they can provide the owner with clean fill, bio degradable maybe.

Cat in a dirty window

Image
Cat in a dirty window Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur Crash was waiting for me to come home. More likely he was watching the birds at the feeder and I just happened to come up the walk. That is Lake Erie you can see throught the window and out the back of the cottage. The circle is a thermometer.

Curtain Fig

Image
Curtain Fig Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur This was a huge tree, probably 100 feet( 30 meters) tall that is being taken over by a fig plant. The fig curtain is about 50 feet tall. It is a large mass of roots that look like a curtain, hence the name. It is located near Yungaburra Australia.

holding up the snow

holding up the snow Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur we already have enough on the ground

You light up my life.

Image
You light up my life. Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur The string lights we use along the sidewalk are slowly being buried in the snow. Low voltage and on a timer, I don't think the local critters need help finding our feeders at night.

Early bird gets the icicle. At least it is better than a worm. Originally uploaded by ricmcarthur Just before THE STORM I noticed the bird sculpture had a rather impressive icicle starting. Now I can hardly see the sculpture under the snow.
